Café with a canteen in the Nová Zbrojovka complex in Brno
The large amount of mirrors used in the space visually enlarge it and add depth, while also interactively engaging visitors in playing with spatial definition.
The spaces on both floors are divided into a series of smaller connected dining and café areas. Partition walls provide more privacy for visitors while maintaining acoustic comfort.
The design makes use of the contrast between raw industrial structures in the building (a former tool room) and the new, shapely and colourful light fixtures, wooden surfaces and kitchen equipment.
